Hey guys, come on, now be easy on this Robin guy. He obviously hasn't taken his ritalin (or viagra for that matter) regularly. Nothing that some anti-psychotic medication and and a little ECT couldn't fix...I'd suggest car batteries connected to his nutsack with good strong battery clips.

BTW: Is there a mechanism to get someone booted off IA? (knowing of course that's it's easy to rejoin) We could also purge all Robin postings? They're as useful as a screen door on a submarine.

That's a little unfair. I've enjoyed much of what Robin's had to say. Enough so, in fact, to be disappointed by his words in this thread, rather than contemptuous.

(BTW, it IS "his," isn't it? Or is it "hers?" The name Robin can be either one, and if you've specified, I probably missed it.)

I thought George Carlin was rubbish his whole career, but to poke fun at his death is stupid and completely uncalled for. May the four winds blow him safely home.

I appreciated his stand-up best in small doses, but having seen the man in Kevin Smith's anomalous "Jersey Girl," I'm convinced he barely scratched the surface of his abilities. Whatever you thought of that movie in general (I know Smith fans were furious about it), Carlin played to absolute perfection.

To say 'Yay!! X is dead!' is the epitome of classless...I think the statement speaks for itself. And yes, I didn't even like George Carlin's comedy all that much but nobody deserves that. That's the problem with the internet - it breeds people who care nothing about what they say anymore because of the anonymity it affords. Yes, I made light of it, and I admit so; it's just infuriating to have people spout crap that way. Furthermore I have no idea what it has to do with classic tv. I don't think it refers to anything on the site directly or indirectly. Just more of some people's running stream of consciousness that nobody asked for and contributes nothing.

Where 'X' = anyone short of a pedophile, murderer, war criminal (etc...you get the idea)

PS: Let's keep it on topic people and I'll try to do the same...
